Level 1 Orff-Schulwerk Teacher Education Workshop

June 17-28, 2024 Weekdays 8:30am - 4:30 pm
This approved certification course of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association is a 10 day full-time course. It is based on the work of the composer Carl Orff and his colleagues who developed "Orff Schulwerk," music and movement for the school. Participants will explore Orff process, melody and rhythm, improvisation, pentatonic scales and bordun accompaniments. Ability to read music notation is a prerequisite.

Individuals who have previously completed a level at USU may register to repeat that level at a special reduced rate. Registration will be available beginning April 15th.

* Note that anyone repeating the course is subject to all requirements for that level including participation in all coursework, and completion of all homework.
