Credit options: Please read this information carefully. In Utah, the Utah State Board of Education accepts relicensurc points or continuing education hours towards teacher licensing and renewal. However, every school district has its own requirements for lane change. YOU MUST CHECK WITH YOUR OWN DISTRICT TO BE INFORMED ABOUT WHICH TYPE OF CREDIT IS REQUIRED. Because it shows on an official USU transcript, continuing education units will transfer to other states.

Participants may opt to pay only the registration fee, which includes a non-refundable $65 processing fee, and elect not to take this Orff-Schulwerk course for credit.
Utah State Board of Education Credit
If you hold or are working towards a Utah Teaching license, relicensure points or USBE course credit will be available at no charge. You must provide your name and Cactus #. The USBE is transitioning from one system to another which should be functioning by late August 2017. If you need documentation that you have completed 60 hours of coursework before that time, Leslie can provide that on USU letterhead.
Continuing Education Units: CEMU 5262
Six Continuing Education Units (10 hours each) are available @$30 each for a total of $180. Once recorded, these units show on an official USU transcript.This credit is honored as Continuing Education credit in any state. If at anytime in the future you should need to do so, these 60 hours may be converted to:
Regular University Graduate Credit: MUSC 5262
If you require graduate credit (for example towards a graduate degree), you may want the option to take this course for four semester hours (60 hours) of regular university graduate credit. Utah State University does not charge out-of-state tuition during summer semester. The actual rate is determined in late March each year and is effective on May 1st for the entire next academic year. You have the option to convert CEUs to regular credit at any time in the future. The tuition will be whatever is current at the time of conversion. The $180 that was paid for CEUs originally will be credited to the transaction. This year the amount is $2005.25 for 4 semester hours. You may do this conversion by going to the registrar’s office https://www.usu.edu/registrar/ This rate for 2017-18 will stay in effect until May 1st 2018.
